Sonya Jelks is a City Councilor in Meriden and the mother of two. She serves at chair of the Personnel Committee and is a member of the Economic Development, Housing and Zoning Committee and the Human Services Committee. She also works for the House Democrats at the Connecticut General Assembly. She has had previous experience as a business strategist, IT manager, and Campaign manager. She earned her Master’s in Management Information Systems from Syracuse University.
